LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Consider the different forms of leadership in a family system
  • Examine the different roles that family members can take on in family business governance
  • Identify ways for family members, non-family managers and board members to add value to the family business
  • Understanding the roles, rights and responsibilities of governance bodies of the family business – Ownership Council, Advisory Board, Board of Directors, Senior Managers, Family Directors
  • Clarify and define what it means to be an effective leader/owner of the family business
MODULE FORMAT

  • This module takes place over 6 weeks in the form of video lectures, case studies, interviews and a Zoom discussion.
  • Participants are expected to spend 1 hour a week on the video lessons, which they can access anytime anywhere
  • The module concludes with a discussion on the Zoom platform, moderated by the facilitator.
